Holi in India is the festival of colors that people across the country celebrate from varying religions. It has its own significance, and as per astrology, it is believed that on this day, planets Sun and Moon lie on either end of each other in the sky. Holi 2022 is on March 18, Friday. As per the legend of the festival of Holi, the Holika Dahan time is considered an inauspicious period when it occurs in the Bhadra Phase. However, if you perform the Holika Dahan on the Full Moon time of the Phalguna month, the time is highly auspicious. Thus, it is advisable to perform the Holika Dahan Pooja only during the Bhadra Poonch.
According to Panchang, the most auspicious Muhurat of Holika Dahan 2022 would be between 09:06 PM to 10:16 PM on March 17. This makes the shubh muhurat for the Holika Dahan of 1 hour and 10 minutes.
